Funny River Grove is the premiere new subdivision off Funny River road. Located 14 mile from the Soldotna bridge you will be in a sport fisherman’s paradise. Access to the Kenai River is available by public boat launch at the Funny River State Camp Ground, approximately three miles from subdivision. When you are not fishing you can enjoy time at the Funny River Golf Course.
The subdivision has been improved with borough maintained gravel roads and electric has been ran underground to each lot.

Hi Glenda
I recently sent you an email regarding the idea of extending natural gas service to the Funny River Community Church on Rabbit Run Road which would include your building sites on Funny River Rd. The reason is, the gas line ends just North of your properties on River Bend Drive. To extend the gas line requires the approval of 60% of the land owners effected by the extension, who would then of course be able to connect to the gas line.
As you may know the most common fuel for areas not served by natural gas is fuel oil. Fuel oil heat is very expensive. My neighbor switched from oil to gas and the cost dropped from about $900/month to about $300/month for the coldest months. The other common alternative is Propane which is even more expensive. Another advantage with gas is that it burns very cleanly and therefore the maintenance on the heating system is nearly 0. Oil burners usually require a major maintenance service annually. Adding natural gas service to your properties would greatly increase the sale-ability of the property I believe.
I understand the cost to get the gas company to extend the line is not cheap but the savings will usually be recovered in little over a year from the reduced fuel cost.
Please give this a careful consideration and let me know if you are interested in helping us with this project.
Thanks
